Wi-Fi is complimentary for our business class customers and AerClub Concierge members.

Wi-Fi gives you access to the internet for web browsing, online shopping, email, instant messaging and social networking - based on the bundle you have purchased.

You can use any Wi-Fi enabled devices, including laptops, tablets and smartphones.

You can purchase a Wi-Fi pass through the Aer Lingus Wi-Fi page; this’ll appear when you launch your browser.

The SSID is 'Aer_Lingus_WiFi'. This is a publicly broadcasted Wi-Fi network.

Wi-Fi is activated at an altitude of 10,000 feet or around 20 minutes after take-off. It’s deactivated during take-off and landing.

You’ll get an upload capacity of approximately 5 Mbps and download capacity of approximately 1 Mbps. It’ll be the same speed as if you were using a public Wi-Fi service on land.

Yes. It's as safe as any other public Wi-Fi service, such as in a hotel or café. Connections to secure websites (i.e. HTTPS) or a Virtual Private Network (VPN) will remain secure.

The service may be disrupted if the aircraft is not above an altitude of 10,000 feet, is outside of satellite coverage, or because of extreme weather conditions.

You’ll get systems status updates throughout the flight, however events such as those described above may happen without warning.

Not simultaneously. Customers must log off one and log onto another.

Wi-Fi is available on most A330 and all A321neoLR aircraft.

Yes. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. All aspects of the system are tested and safety certified by us and the European Safety Agency (EASA).

  • Switch on your mobile when you’re told it’s safe to do so, keeping it in silent or vibrate mode.
  • Wait for the 'AeroMobile' network to appear or select it manually from network settings.
  • You’ll get a welcome SMS from AeroMobile, then you can email, text and browse the internet.

No. We don't allow the use of voice calls in the cabin, including mobile/VoIP/Skype.

Yes. Usage is charged by your home mobile operator. You’ll get a text from them with pricing information. Standard roaming rates apply.

Billing information can be found within the portal of our service provider, Panasonic. Roaming fees are charged by your mobile operator. Please contact them directly for charges.

Mobile network is available on A330 aircraft only.
