Young children who are not able to maintain a face covering are exempt from this requirement.
We would remind customers to ensure they have a sufficient supply of masks for the entire duration of their travel, where it's required.
Certain airports have a mandatory face mask policy in place. Please check your departure and arrival airport's website for the latest information. We recommend carrying a face mask with you, just in case you are required to wear one.
Airports have introduced new measures to ensure physical distancing and reduced contact from check-in to security. When you arrive at the airport you'll see protective screens, hand hygiene stations and our staff wearing face masks.
We recommend checking in online and using self-service and bag drop facilities where available - all to minimise contact.
Our Dublin Revival Lounge is temporarily closed. Our Dublin, London Heathrow and New York JFK lounges are now open and ready to welcome you.
Boarding will now be in small groups at a time, and according to your seat row number. At the boarding gate you can now scan your own boarding card, and show your passport or ID to the Aer Lingus staff, making this process contactless. Our new boarding process means that priority boarding is no longer available.
Thermal screening (skin temperature check) may be in operation at some airports depending on various local state regulations. Customers who fail a thermal screening or are identified as symptomatic will be refused travel.
We have introduced an enhanced cleaning system on all of our aircraft. The interior of every plane is thoroughly disinfected daily. All of our aircraft are fitted with state of the art air filtration used in operating theatres in hospitals.
A reduced inflight service will be offered on all flights, with contactless payment for any purchases. See our Bia menu here.
There will be reduced passenger movement in the cabin throughout all our flights.
We've moved exclusively to contactless payments for in-flight shopping.
Please note that inflight services are temporarily suspended on Aer Lingus Regional flights.
